We are heartbroken and without words from the devastation our mountain community has faced in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Being Asheville natives, we know our mountain people are strong, faithful, resilient and will bounce back.

As we move from being reactive to proactive, we have the unique opportunity to be a beacon of light. We’ve been overwhelmed by the industry partners, vendors and clients across the country that have reached out asking how they can help our community.

October 1st marked our firm’s 74th anniversary. As such, we are setting a $74,000 fund raising goal. There are so many wonderful organizations that are making huge impacts. Being local, feet on the ground we also know that needs will change over the coming weeks, months and year. To that end, the below options to donate allow us to be flexible and benefit multiple organizations.

The Colton Groome Community Support Fund of The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

The Colton Groome #828Strong committee will continually evaluate the on-going needs of our area and provide grants to support organizations doing the work we believe is most impactful. The CG828Strong committee has been formed and will be led by our father, George Groome who is an Asheville native, has and continues to serve on multiple boards and is our community liaison.

The Emergency and Disaster Response Fund of the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

Your contribution will support recovery efforts related to the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina. Thank you for your generous support of our community during this incredibly difficult time. The staff of the Community Foundation of WNC will review applications and award grants to 18 Counties in Western NC, including the Qualla Boundary.
