Matt relocated to the Asheville area from Utah, bringing with him a wealth of experience in accounting and financial planning. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accountancy from Brigham Young University and began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked as a public company auditor. After several rigorous audit sessions, Matt sought a more proactive, client-focused role and pursued his designation as a Certified Financial Planner.

Today, Matt manages the implementation and trading of clients’ investment portfolios, while also maintaining direct relationships with clients. He is an active member of the Colton Groome Investment Committee, contributing research to identify and evaluate investment opportunities that align with client needs and goals.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Whitney, and their four children – Sadie, Paisley, Micah, and Lydia. He is an active volunteer in his church community and loves to play pickleball whenever he gets the chance.
