Taylor Bell Poteat, CFP^®

Chief Operating & Compliance Officer

Taylor joined Colton Groome Financial in 2016 and is a longtime Asheville-native. Taylor serves as our Chief Operating and Compliance Officer, overseeing the firm’s compliance functions as well as leading our operations department. Taylor is a Certified Financial Planner® and also holds her life, health, and long-term care licenses. She graduated from UNC Asheville with a Bachelor of Science in Management, with a concentration in Business Administration. She has 10 years of experience in co-owning a family business—bringing a comprehensive skillset in strategic planning, project management, and client administration. Taylor is still actively involved with her Alma Mater as a member of the UNC Asheville Department of Management & Accountancy Advisory Board and as an Executive Committee member for the Our Turn to Play annual luncheon, an organization that raises scholarship funds for female student athletes.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jamin, and their modern day Brady Bunch family of 6 kids and a dog!
